Publish your store

What must be in place before your store goes live, how to publish it from the Overview, and what changes once players can reach it.

A new store starts in Draft. Players cannot reach it until you publish it. This page explains what you need first, how to publish, and how to take the store offline again.

What you need before publishing

The Overview shows a card that says your store is not live yet, with two checks:

Check What counts
Payouts set up with Stripe Your Stripe onboarding has the status Complete. See Connect Stripe.
A product players can see At least one product with Show on store on, in a category that is shown on the store. For a subcategory, its parent category must be shown too. See Products and Categories.

A check that is not done is a link to the page where you fix it. Under the Publish store button you see how many steps are left.

Without payouts, a player would reach a checkout that cannot take money. Without a product, the store would be empty. That is why these two are required.

The Set up your store card on the Overview lists more steps. You can publish without them, but some matter for your first sale:

  • Connect a server. Without one, paid orders wait in the queue until a server connects. Nothing is lost, but players wait. See Install the plugin.
  • Upload your logo under Branding.
  • Connect your own domain, see Custom domain.

Check that each product has the commands that give the rank or the items. A product without commands does nothing in the game. See Commands.

Publish

When both checks are done, click Publish store on the Overview. You see a message that your store is live and players can find it now.

If something is still missing, the store stays in Draft, and the Overview tells you what to do first.

What changes when you are live

  • Players can reach your store on its address, like yourstore.minecraftstore.io, or on your own domain. In Draft, everyone gets a not found page.
  • The checkout takes payments. Your store needs to be live and your Stripe onboarding complete.
  • The in-game menu opens for buying. Before that, /buy shows your products but tells players the store is not open yet.
  • The header of the Overview shows Live with your store address. Click it to open your store.
  • The setup checklist disappears from the Overview. What was left on it was optional.

Test your store

Once you are live, buy something cheap yourself. You see the order come in on the Orders page, the plugin run the command, and the order turn to Delivered. If it does not, see When a purchase does not arrive.

Then tell your players: put the link in your MOTD, tab list and Discord.

Take your store offline

Click Take offline next to the Live badge on the Overview, and confirm. Your store goes back to Draft:

  • Players see a not found page and cannot buy anything until you publish it again.
  • Products, orders and settings stay as they are.
  • Paid orders are still delivered. The plugin keeps running commands for orders that were already paid.

Publish it again the same way, with Publish store.

A suspended store

Minecraftstore.io can take a store offline by suspending it. A suspended store shows the Suspended status on the Overview. Players cannot reach it, the plugin gets no deliveries, and you cannot publish it yourself. Contact support to sort it out.
