Multiple servers

Connect several Minecraft servers to one store and choose for each command whether it runs on all servers or only on one.

One store can deliver to several Minecraft servers, like Survival, Skyblock and a Lobby. Each server gets its own plugin token, and you choose per command where it runs. This page explains how.

Connect each server

Install the plugin on every server where commands should run, and give each one its own token:

  1. Open Servers under Game.
  2. Click Connect a server and give it a Name, like Survival.
  3. Click Create token and paste the token into plugins/Minecraftstore/config.yml on that server.
  4. Run /mcs reload on that server.

Repeat this for each server. Every name must be unique within your store, and a store can link up to 25 servers. See Install the plugin for the full steps.

Use a different token on each server. The name of the server is how the dashboard tells them apart, and how you pick where a command runs.

Choose where a command runs

Once you have a server, each command in the product form has a server choice next to it:

Choice Where the command runs
All servers On every active server
Only Survival (or another server name) Only on that server

All servers is the default. It fits commands that every server needs, like a rank on servers that each keep their own permissions. If your servers share one permissions database, one server is enough for the rank command. Pick one server for commands that only make sense there, like items or a crate key for Survival.

The Servers page shows for each server how many commands run there. This counts the commands set to that server only.

How "All servers" works

When an order is paid, a command for all servers becomes one delivery per active server at that moment. On the order page you see each delivery with the server it ran on, so you can tell what happened where.

A server you connect later does not get deliveries for orders that were paid before.

If your store has no active server when an order is paid, the command gets one delivery without a server. The first server that connects picks it up, and the order page says "on the first server that connects". Nothing a player paid for is dropped because no server was linked yet.

Players who must be online

A command with Wait until the player is online waits until the player is on the server that runs it. The plugin tells us who is online on its own server. So a command set to Only Survival waits until the player joins Survival, even if they are online in the Lobby.

Keep this in mind for item commands on networks: point them at the server where the player should get the items. See How delivery works.

Rename, disable or delete a server

Open the menu next to a server on the Servers page:

  • Rename changes the name. Commands that point to the server keep pointing to it.
  • New token makes a new token and stops the old one at once.
  • Disable takes the server out for a while. Its token is refused and it gets no deliveries. New orders for All servers skip it. Choose Enable to bring it back.
  • Delete removes the server and its token.

You cannot delete a server while:

  • commands of a product are set to run only on it. Point them to another server first, or disable this one.
  • deliveries still wait for it. Disable it instead, so they can finish later.

Timed products on several servers

The commands that run when a timed product ends follow the same choice. A command for All servers runs on every server that is active when the product ends. See Timed products.
