News

Post updates, events and new ranks on the news page of your website and on its home, now or planned for later.

News tells players what is going on: a new season, an event this weekend, new ranks in the shop. Posts show on the news page of your website (/news) and the three newest on its home. Players see them once the website is on.

Write a post

  1. Open News under Website in the dashboard.
  2. Click Write a post.
  3. Fill in a Title, like "Season 4 starts Friday".
  4. Add a Label if you like, such as Event or Update. It is optional.
  5. Write the Text. Use ## for a heading, **bold**, - for a list and [text](https://link) for a link.
  6. Add an Image: PNG, JPG or WebP, at least 640 by 320 pixels and up to 5 MB. A screenshot from the game works great. Without one, the post shows your banner.
  7. Choose When it goes out and save.

The Preview tab shows the post as players will see it.

Now, later or a draft

Choice What happens
Now The post goes out when you click Publish.
Later Pick a date and time, then click Plan post. It goes out by itself at that moment, in the timezone of your store.
Not yet, keep it as a draft Only you and your team see it. Publish it when it is ready.

The list on the News page shows each post with Draft or Planned for and the date, so you see what is still to come.

Edit or delete a post

Open the menu next to a post for Edit, View on website or Delete. Deleting removes the post and its image for good, and links to it stop working.

Tips

  • Post when something happens, not on a schedule. A short post about an event beats a long one nobody reads.
  • Point to the shop when you add ranks or a sale: a link to the product in the text takes players straight there.
  • Share the link of a post in your Discord. It opens with the title, text and image as a preview.
