LuckPerms commands for your server store
LuckPerms is the permissions plugin most servers use. Set your ranks up as groups once, and the commands in your store stay short: one line gives a rank, one line takes it away.
Set up the groups first
In your server console, once. The store only adds players to these groups.
MVP inherits everything VIP has, so you only add what is new. The higher priority on the prefix makes [MVP] win over [VIP] for a player in both groups.
The commands in your store
Paste them in the product form. {player} becomes the name of the player who bought it.
A rank for good
When the order is paid:
lp user {player} parent add vip
A rank for 30 days
Turn on Lasts a limited time, 30 days. When the order is paid, and when it expires:
lp user {player} parent add vip
lp user {player} parent remove vip
Or let LuckPerms keep time, with accumulate adding the days to what is left:
lp user {player} parent addtemp vip 30d accumulate
An upgrade from VIP to MVP
Mark MVP as an upgrade from VIP. When the order is paid, and when bought as an upgrade:
lp user {player} parent add mvp
lp user {player} parent remove vip
One perk, for a week
A single permission instead of a whole rank:
lp user {player} permission settemp essentials.fly true 7d accumulate
Test before you sell
Send a test delivery from the dashboard with your own name, then check in game with lp user YourName info. Leave out the slash at the start of a command; the store strips it anyway.
Questions
Does the player need to be online?
No. LuckPerms changes a player's groups while they are offline, so leave Wait until the player is online off for these commands.
Should I use parent set or parent add?
Use parent add. parent set removes every other group the player has, including ranks they bought before or got from staff.
Should I use the store's timed products or LuckPerms addtemp?
Both work. With a timed product the store knows when it ends: it lists who has what, mails a reminder before the end and takes the Discord role away. With addtemp only LuckPerms knows.
What if a player has never joined my server?
Use {uuid} instead of {player}. LuckPerms finds a player by UUID even before their first visit.
