Guide
Sell to Bedrock players
Many players join from a phone, a tablet or a console through Geyser and Floodgate. They can buy in your store too: they pick Bedrock at checkout, type their Xbox gamertag, and the plugin delivers to them like to anyone else.
What you need
-
1
Geyser and Floodgate on your server
Geyser lets Bedrock players join, Floodgate lets them in without a Java account. Set them up as their own guides describe.
-
2
The same prefix in the dashboard
Floodgate puts a prefix before Bedrock names, a dot by default. If you changed it, set the same one under Servers, Bedrock players.
-
3
Nothing else
The checkout asks Java or Bedrock, and the /buy menu picks Bedrock by itself for a Bedrock player.
How a Bedrock player buys
-
Their Xbox gamertag
They type the gamertag they play with. We look it up and show the name they have on your server, like .Steve_Gamer.
-
Delivered on their UUID
Floodgate gives every Bedrock player a fixed UUID. The plugin finds them by it, online or not.
-
Bans work too
Ban a Bedrock player by their gamertag. The ban is on their account, so a new gamertag does not get around it.
If you change the prefix later
Change it in Floodgate and under Servers at the same time. Orders that were already made keep the name they were made with, so check an open delivery for a Bedrock player if one does not arrive.
Questions
The checkout says it cannot find a gamertag. Why?
The gamertag is looked up with GeyserMC, which only knows players who joined a server with Geyser at least once. Ask the player to join your server once and try again.
What about a player who linked their Bedrock and Java accounts?
They play as their Java account, so they buy with their Java name.
Do my commands need to change?
No. {player} becomes the name the player has on your server, with the Floodgate prefix, so lp user {player} parent add vip reaches them.
